Kasper Jensen blitzes Jyllandsringen qualifying to first pole of 2023
Reigning TCR Denmark champion Kasper Jensen took over from where he left and blitzed the Jyllandsringen season opener qualifying session to claim pole position by close to a second over GMB Motorsport team-mate Gustav Birch.
The triple Danish champion was the only driver to go below 1:10 around Jyllandsringen with an impressive 1:09.344.
Series returnee Jan Magnussen put his Auto Lounge Racing-prepared Cupra León Competición to third place, just 0.027 seconds from Birch.
Green Development driver Nicolai Sylvest made it two Cupras in the top four, 0.965 seconds from pole.
Last year’s runner up Mike Halder was fifth fastest for TPR Motorsport Audi, 0.028 seconds further behind.
Kevin Engman (Audi) was sixth fastest ahead of Michael Markussen (Cupra) while Michelle Halder rounded off the top eight, 1.281 seconds from pole.
The first race of the weekend starts at 11:45 CEST on Sunday.
