Hyundai N Team announces three-car TCR China entry
Hyundai N Team will field three Hyundai Elantra N TCRs in the 2023 TCR China season which starts this weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit.
“Last year, the Hyundai N brand won the WTCR drivers’ and teams’ championships. The excellent performance of the Elantra N TCR racing car is clear, which is also the reason for choosing this car to race in TCR China,” said a team spokesperson.
“We want to show Chinese racing enthusiasts the outstanding strength of Hyundai’s high-performance N brand through this programme.”
Drivers Andy Yan, Martin Cao and Rainey He will form the Hyundai N Team trio.
Yan drove for KCMG in the FIA Motorsport Games last year, finishing seventh overall in the touring car category.
Cao raced for MG in TCR China last year, finishing third overall, while team-mate He last raced in the 2021 TCR China season for SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team – having previously claimed the CTCC title 12 times.
