Mikel Azcona set for Formula E test in Berlin
Hyundai driver Mikel Azcona will take part in the Formula E rookie test at the Berlin Tempelhof track on the 24th of April.
The Spaniard, who will race a Hyundai Elantra in the inaugural TCR World Tour season this year, will take part in the Formula E test for NIO 333 Racing team, according to e-formel.de.
While Azcona lacks single seater experience, he has raced electric race cars, finishing fifth overall last year in the now defunct FIA ETCR championship.
The Spaniard was on Hyundai’s rooster for the 2023 edition of the FIA ETCR before the series folded following Discovery Event’s withdrawal as promoter.
