Supercars reveals 2023 race formats
Supercars has confirmed the race formats that will be utilised for the first season of the new Gen3 era.
The announcement confirms a 28 race calendar spread across the twelve events previously announced, with two endurance events for the first time since 2018.
Newcastle, Symmons Plains, Reid Park, Surfers Paradise and Adelaide will all host two rounds of equal length, with two races of differing lengths in Sydney – the first of which will be the only night race on the schedule.
Three races will run at Wanneroo Raceway, Hidden Valley and The Bend, with Albert Park running four races.
Point-scoring is unchanged, with single-race winners picking up 300 points, 150 points for two-race weekend winners, 100 for sprint rounds, and 75 for the Albert Park races.
