PWR Racing confirms appeal against exclusion of Robert Dahlgren

PWR Racing has confirmed it will appeal the decision by the Swedish Motorsport Federation’s disciplinary committee to exclude Robert Dahlgren from STCC TCR Scandinavia Race 1 at Skellefteå earlier this year.

The team issued a short statement on social media:

“PWR Racing is going to appeal the decision from the Swedish Motorsport Federation (SBF) to exclude Robert Dahlgren from the first STCC TCR Scandinavia race at Skellefteå in which he finished second. More information to follow in due course.”

The team has declined to comment the topic further.

The three-time champion’s Cupra León Competición had failed the ride height check after the race, but Dahlgren escaped punishment after it was argued that a damaged splitter was to blame.

A protest from the Lestrup Racing Team, which runs new race one winner Andreas Bäckman, lodged a protest which was subsequently investigated by the SBF Disciplinary Committee, ultimately resulting in an exclusion for the reigning champion.
