Tobias Brink: “It’s going to be an exciting season end”

Tobias Brink is one of four drivers separated by just three points in the fight for second place overall behind STCC TCR Scandinavia points leader Robert Dahlgren.

“I’m just one point from second place in the standings, it’s going to be an exciting end to the 2022 STCC season,” said Brink.

The Audi driver only managed sixth and fifth in qualifying at Gelleråsen, but fought back in the races to secure two podium finishes.

“The qualifying was tough, but keeping that in mind, my two podiums feels great. That we were able to get things back on track and improve our pace is a really strong effort by the team that we bring with us to the final races,” said Brink.

Two race weekends remain of the 2022 season, Anderstorp and Mantorp, and 130 points remain to fight for with a gap of 48 points for Brink to points leader Robert Dahlgren.

“I’m not ruling out anything. We will just keep our heads down and work hard. Anything can happen in racing, especially in the STCC,” said Brink.
