Honda hits maximum weight as 20kg is taken off all cars
Honda is back on maximum compensation weight for this weekend’s FIA WTCR races in France, as the minimum weight of all cars has been reduced by 20kg in light of the recent tyre issues.
The Honda Civic Type-R TCR will run on 40kg of compensation weight for a total minimum weight of 1305kg, heaviest of all – bar the Lynk & Co 03 TCR of the withdrawn team Cyan Racing.
The four Audis of Comtoyou Racing have gone from the maximum 40kg of compensation weight at Vallelunga to 0kg this weekend. The Audis will run a minimum weight of 1245kg, 60kg less than the Hondas of Münnich Motorsport and Team Engstler.
The Cupras and Hyundais remain at 0kg of compensation weight, just as in the previous rounds.
