Teams to receive “enhanced WTCR specification” tyre at Hungaroring

The FIA World Touring Car Cup teams will receive an additional allocation of tyres for this weekend’s races at the Hungaroring following the cancelled Nürburgring races.

A total of four additional slicks from Goodyear will be handed to each car, including two current specification WTCR tyre and two “enhanced” WTCR specification tyres ahead of the two free practice sessions.

The tyres will then be returned to Goodyear for further analysis.

The teams have also been allocated 16 new slicks to each car for the weekend in total.

The previously preliminarily scheduled extra practice session on Friday has been removed, with the second free practice session instead being extended from 30 minutes to 45.
