Triple TCR Italy champion Salvatore Tavano confirms 2022 programme

Salvatore Tavano, who claimed the 2018-22 TCR Italy titles, will be back for the 2022 season that starts this weekend at Monza.

The 42-year-old will once again race a Cupra León Competición for Scuderia del Girasole, having finished third overall last year for the Italian outfit.

Tavano has a vast background in GT and touring cars, including a full WTCC season in 2006 for N-Technology behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 156 GTA.
