BTC Racing announces Rich Energy backing
BTC Racing has announced a ‘multi-year race and marketing partnership’ with the energy drinks company Rich Energy ahead of the new BTCC season.
The deal will see the cars of Josh Cook, Jason Plato and Jade Edwards run under the Rich Energy BTC Racing banner during the season ahead, with the black livery breaking cover ahead of the season launch event at Thruxton on Wednesday.
Rich Energy was previously involved with the team when it ran Michael Crees to the Jack Sears Trophy title, when it was a personal backer of the driver.
“We are highly pleased to have secured a long-term investment with William Storey at Rich Energy,” team owner Steve Dudman said. “With its distinctive black and gold branding representing the continued and iconic link to motorsport, we will represent Rich Energy products with pride.”
Storey, who has previously been involved in F1 and Superbikes with the Rich Energy brand, said he was pleased to agree the new deal.
“The engineering capability and infrastructure witnessed at the team HQ in Brackley is first class and is highly impressive, with many clever people involved,” he said. “We look forward to a successful relationship for Rich Energy and BTC Racing in this new era.”
