Jan Magnussen part ways with LM Racing
Jan Magnussen has announced that he will part ways with LM Racing and not take part in the 2022 TCR Denmark season as previously announced.
“I’m sorry about the circumstances, but I’m happy with the decision,” said Magnussen.
“LM Racing is an incredibly hard-working team with skilled and passionate people, and we have from the beginning collaborated as one team, where everyone has participated in the preparations, both practical and financial, and given their best both on and off the track.
“It takes enormous resources to create a project like the one we have had strong success with over the past two season. But despite hard work over the winter, I do not feel that we have succeeded in creating the necessary basis to both perform at the highest level and at the same time have peace and focus in the team.”
LM Racing will reduce its line-up from three to two Cupra León Competición race cars for Kenn Bach and Lars Højris.
“It is of course an unfortunate outcome of the preparations we have made for this season, but I am nevertheless happy that we stop our cooperation in full agreement and with respect for each other,” said team manager Lars Mogensen.
“It has been fantastic to have Jan in the team, but now we have to look ahead and put full focus on our final preparations leading up to the season premiere.”
