Edoardo Cappello to drive Aggressive Italia Elantra

Aggressive Italia has announced the signing of Edoardo Cappello for the 2022 TCR Italy Championship season.

Cappello will race a Hyundai Elantra N TCR for the team that took second in the standings last year with Kevin Ceccon, who missed out on the title to Antti Burri by a single point.

The deal will see Cappello return to the grid for the first time since the 2018 season, where he took a win at Mugello during a part campaign.

“It is a great honor to be part of a young, but at the same time solid and organised, team like the Aggressive Team Italia,” he said. “I am really happy to have this new opportunity, which will allow me to return to compete in a championship that I love and where I have already had excellent results in the past.

“The first goal will be to grow from race to race, after which we will see what can happen in the championship.

“For sure, the team and I will give 100% to aim for the top positions in the standings.”
