Johnny Vejlebo announces continued Peugeot programme for 2022

Johnny Vejlebo has confirmed that he will race a Peugeot 308TCR in the 2022 TCR Denmark season with Brian Madsen Sport.

“I am super happy that we can continue to build on the experiences that we have from the first two seasons,” said Vejlebo.

The 56-year-old has raced in TCR Denmark since 2020 and finished 12th overall last year.

A brand new Peugeot 308TCR has been purchased by the team ahead of the 2022 season.

“This year will be a little special for me because on April 1st it is 30 years since I started selling Peugeots,” said Vejlebo.

“It has been a fantastic journey to see the brand take shape in Denmark. We came from a time when Peugeot had an incredibly small market share, and then to where the brand is today – it’s a bit wild to think back on.

“Therefore, there was not much doubt – it should be a Peugeot again, and I am very much looking forward to getting started with the season.”
