Thruxton to host annual season launch

Organisers of the BTCC have confirmed that the 2022 season launch will take place at Thruxton next month, with fans able to attend free of charge.

The event will take place on the 13 April and will include the third of three official tests being held prior to the first race meeting for the BTCC’s new hybrid era.

Earlier tests are planned at both Donington Park and Croft on 29 March and 6 April.

The season launch will be the first to welcome fans since 2019, with the previous two editions being held behind closed doors as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gates for the event will open at 10am, with fans required to pre-register for access in advance.
