RC2 Junior Team announces expanded Audi and Cupra programme

RC2 Junior Team has announced it will enter two Audis and two Cupras for a full 2022 TCR Italy championship season.

“We are very excited about this new season; there is a lot of work to do with our engineers, mechanics and drivers, but the fact that will be running the new Audi cars makes us confident to achieve great results. We can’t wait to hit the track and prove it,” said team manager Marc Ribas.

The team has completed a first test at Barcelona, with further tests planned at the Spanish circuit later in February, while not yet confirming the identities of its drivers.

Also announced by the team is that it will start the season with two Cupras and one Audi, adding a second Audi at mid-point of the season, and that it will take part in TCR Spain as well.

The Spanish based team made its TCR Italy debut last year at Imola and made selected TCR Europe appearances.
