Motorbase secures NAPA backing for 2022
Motorbase Performance has announced that it has secured backing from NAPA Auto Parts for the 2022 BTCC season in a move that will see two cars entered under the NAPA Racing banner.
The automotive parts brand is well known in the American racing scene through its sponsorship deals in both IndyCar and NASCAR, where it has backed drivers including Alexander Rossi and Chase Elliott.
Details of the exact nature of Motorbase’s four-strong line-up will be revealed in due course, with the first driver for the NAPA Racing side of the garage set to be confirmed ‘imminently’.
“I’m absolutely delighted to welcome NAPA to Motorbase and the BTCC, it’s a huge brand in America in the automotive parts industry and one with a great motorsport history,” team owner Pete Osborne said. “Now they’re entering the UK market, it’s only natural NAPA should choose the BTCC to showcase the brand.
“In the short period we’ve been working with NAPA you can see clearly what their targets are and they align perfectly with ours. There’s ambition with a big picture in mind. We’re extremely proud to be promoting the NAPA brand both on and off track and we’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership. NAPA Racing has arrived, let’s go racing!”
