Tiago Monteiro undergoing tests after missing practice

Tiago Monteiro is undergoing tests in hospital in Sochi after being forced to miss both practice sessions ahead of the World Touring Car Cup season finale.

The Münnich Motorsport driver sat out the opening session of the weekend after feeling unwell, and has since been taken to a local hospital for further checks.

The announcement from Honda, which came as FP2 was getting underway at the Russian circuit, calls into question Monteiro’s participation in the remainder of the weekend, with qualifying scheduled for 15:00 local time (13:00 CET).
