30 cars entered for TCR Asia season finale at Macau

The iconic Macau Guia Race will host the 2021 TCR Asia season finale on November 19-21 and a total of 30 TCR cars have been entered for the race.

Just as last year, it will be an almost exclusively Asian affair due to the COVID travel restrictions, and the main TCR Asia title battle will be an internal Teamwork Motorsport affair.

Jason Zhang heads team-mate Ma Qing Hua by 20 points ahead of Macau, and the Lynk & Co duo are alone in challenging for the drivers’ title.

The duo will face tough competition for the victories in the two races from Macau veterans such as Filipe De Souza (Audi), Andy Yan (Honda) and Huang Chu Han (Audi).

The field will run practice and qualifying on the Friday, with warm-up and the first race on Saturday at 14:55 local time while the final longer race will take place on Sunday at 12:05.

The last time an international field took part in the Macau race was 2019, with Yvan Muller and Andy Priaulx claiming the three victories.
