STCC TCR Scandinavia reveals 2022 calendar

The STCC TCR Scandinavia organisation has unveiled a preliminary calendar for the 2022 season, featuring a total of five race weekends in Sweden.

“We are delighted to less than a week after the season final reveal a strong calendar for 2022 with a good mix of circuits across almost all of Sweden,” said Micke Bern, managing director of STCC.

The season will start at Ring Knutstorp on May, then moving to the north of Sweden for Skellefteå in July.

Gelleråsen Arena will host the third round in August, followed by Anderstorp in September and the season finale at Mantorp Park in October.

Gone from the calendar is Ljungbyhed Park that hosted the 2021 season opener.

The STCC organisation has also confirmed that it will continue with the TCR regulations as part of a “long-term strategy”.

“TCR is a successful concept across the globe and we have a long-term cooperation that runs until 2025,” said Bern.

“We are going to keep a close dialogue with TCR regarding the development for the future, primarily when it comes to electrification which is a key topic for us.”
