Sami Taoufik leads second free practice at Barcelona

Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Sami Taoufik (Hyundai Elantra N TCR) set the fastest lap time in the second free practice session of the TCR Europe season finale.

Taoufik topped the time sheets early in the session, improving his lap time to finish in first position with 1:55.118 and was followed by Volcano Motorsport’s Klim Gravrilov (Cupra Leon Competición), 0.286 seconds behind.

Title contender Franco Girolami was third for PSS Racing Team, with Comtoyou Racing’s Nicolas Baert next, 0.394 seconds off the pace.

Peugeot driver Jimmy Clairet completed another solid session for Team Clairet, with Niels Langeveld of Sébastien Loeb Racing in sixth place.

Isidro Callejas finished in seventh place for Brutal Fish with Teddy Clairet, driving the second Peugeot 308TCR of Team Clairet, in eighth place, 0.738 seconds behind Taoufik.

Reigning champion Mehdi Bennani was ninth, with Evgenii Leonov completing the top ten, 0.839 seconds from P1.

Track action for the TCR Europe field resumes on Saturday morning with the qualifying session at 10:40 CEST.
