BTCC reveals 2022 race dates
Organisers of the British Touring Car Championship have released dates for the 2022 season, which will feature the same eight circuits as have been used this season.
The campaign will kick off slightly later than usual with the opening meeting at Donington Park in April, coming after three official pre-season tests to provide teams with as much time as possible to test the new hybrid systems that will come in next season.
Brands Hatch Indy, Thruxton, Oulton Park and Croft lead up the summer break, with Knockhill then kicking off the second part of the campaign in late July.
Snetterton and a second visit to Thruxton will come before the penultimate weekend at Silverstone, with the season finale in early October back at Brands Hatch.
“I’m pleased to confirm our calendar for the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship,” BTCC Chief Executive Alan Gow said. “As the biggest series in the UK, it is vital that our schedule is issued so early, to allow the rest of British motorsport to plan their respective calendars.”
