Colin Turkington handed race one penalty

Colin Turkington has lost his fourth place finish in the first BTCC race of the weekend at Thruxton after picking up a post-race penalty.

Turkington was deemed to be at fault for the incident on lap one that saw Ash Sutton spin to the back of the field.

The 17 second time penalty drops Turkington behind Sutton in the end results, but he will still carry ballast for fourth into race two.
