Aggressive Team Italia signs Kevin Ceccon for TCR Italy
Aggressive Team Italia has signed former WTCR driver Kevin Ceccon for its TCR Italy championship programme.
“I’m pleased to announce my return to racing after last year’s break,” said Ceccon.
“I want to capitalise on the experience I grew in WTCR in which I proved I was able to fight for the top positions against some of the world’s best touring car drivers.”
The Italian was out of a drive last year after racing an Alfa Romeo for Team Mulsanne in the 2019 WTCR season, finishing 14th overall with five podium finishes.
This season Ceccon, who is currently recovering from a bicycle accident where he broke his arm, will drive a Hyundai i30 N TCR for Aggressive Team Italia.
“Now I’m eager to begin this new adventure with Aggressive Team Italia in the TCR Italy championship and with the Hyundai i30 N,” said Ceccon.
“This is a great opportunity, because my incident prevented me from finalising the plans that had been set for 2021. I thank Mauro Guastamacchia for this call that gives me lot of motivations, and I will do my best to repay his confidence with the results on the track.”
