Team Rosberg commits to new-look DTM
Team Rosberg has become the second existing team to confirm that it will compete in the new-look DTM series for the 2021 season.
The Audi squad has been part of the grid since the 1990s and has won the title for three of the last four seasons with René Rast.
Team Rosberg joins Team Abt Sportsline in signing up for the series when it adopts GT3 regulations, with the two outfits joining GruppeM, 2 Seas Motorsport and Jenson Button’s Jenson Team Rocket RJN on the entry list thus far.
“It was clear to us that we would work with the highest priority to prove our capabilities again in the world’s most professional sprint series,” team boss Kimmo Liimatainen said
“In the special circumstances of 2020, it was extremely valuable that we as a team managed to celebrate a title again. Our aim is to win and at the beginning of next year, we will present with whom and with what we want to achieve our ambitious goal.
“Today I am particularly pleased to be able to confirm our participation with two cars in the DTM 2021 and 2022.”
