New team confirm two Hyundai Elantra TCRs for inaugural season

A yet to be named Brazilian team has confirmed two Hyundai Elantra N TCR race cars for the 2021 TCR South America championship season.

Former Hyundai WTCR driver Augusto Farfus Jr is part of the team organisation alongside 2019 Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy champion Sérgio Jiménez and Carlos Chiarelli.

“When I was sure the season was going to happen and we had the opportunity to put two cars on the grid, we signed the agreement. I think it will be an incredible package!” said Farfus.

“I have taken part in the development of the cars and I know the potential. I’m sure that we will have a very successful team.”

Drivers and team name will be announced “later”.
