Franco Girolami to contest Jarama finale

Franco Girolami, younger brother of WTCR racer Néstor, will join the grid for the TCR Europe season finale at Jarama after inking a deal with PSS Racing.

The 28-year-old will compete in the same Honda Civic Type R that his brother drove to finishes of fifth and second in the opening rounds of the year at Paul Ricard.

Girolami is best known for his exploits in Argentine Touring Car competitions, claiming the 2012 TC2000 title in a Fiat Linea and then switching to the Top Race series – where he was crowned champion in 2018.

Girolami had his first experience in a TCR car driving a Honda Civic Type R in the TCR Italy events at Mugello and Misano, with a best finish of second.
