Jacob Mathiassen confirms return for 2021 in new Alfa Romeo

Jacob Mathiassen will be back on the grid with Insight Racing for the 2021 TCR Denmark series season.

“It has been really good to get into TCR Denmark this year, and the series has from the start held a high level and really strong competition,” said Mathiassen.

The Dane, who finished fifth overall with two victories this season, will drive a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR next year.

“I am super happy to be able to continue with Insight Racing,” said Mathiassen.

“I have had an ok year considering that I have driven the oldest car of the field. And therefore I also look at the fact that we as a team have something good to build on in 2021, where we expect to get a new 2021 racer from Alfa Romeo.

“It feels really good to have the plans in place now. Of course, there is a lot of sponsorship work left, but now there is something to work towards, and it is really a good feeling to go for a winter break.”
