Aurélien Comte excluded from qualifying for parc fermé breach
Aurélien Comte will be demoted to the back of the grid at the Hungaroring after being excluded from qualifying for the latest rounds of the World Touring Car Cup.
Comte had posted the 17th quickest time in Q1 at the wheel of the Vukovic Motorsport Renault Megane he took over last weekend in Slovakia.
However, after the session is was revealed that a team member had connected a computer to the car whilst under parc fermé conditions – resulting in the car being excluded from the session for a breach of the sporting regulations.
Comte has been given permission to start from last place on the grid in race one behind the Honda of Tiago Monteiro, after he was handed an engine change penalty.
