Lynk & Co hits maximum as compensation weight takes effect in Slovakia
The Lynk & Co 03 TCR will run at maximum weight when the World Touring Car Championship heads for Slovakia after the latest compensation weight figures were released.
The Cyan Racing-run cars will run at the maximum of 1365kg after being handed an additional 40kg of weight, as well as a ride height increase of 10mm.
The addition of 40kg and a ride height change – from 80mm up to 90mm – comes with the car being unable to run with a full 60kg of additional compensation weight without going over the maximum weight permitted under the technical regulations.
The Honda Civic Type R will carry an additional 50kg of compensation weight, which means the cars run by Munnich Motorsport will now race at 1355kg, with an extra 40kg being added to the Audi RS 3 LMS – putting it onto 1315kg.
With none of the Hyundai i30 N TCRs racing in Germany, the car will not be subject to any compensation weight at the Slovakia Ring.
