Power increase for Hyundai and weight decrease for Cupra
The Balance of Performance has been altered ahead of the World Touring Car Cup races at the Nürburgring this weekend for the Hyundai i30 N TCR and the Cupra León Competición.
The power has level has been increased from 95% to 97,5% for the Hyundais with the new Magneti Marelli ECU while the Cupras will benefit from a 20kg reduction of BoP weight, going from +40kg to +20kg.
The Hyundai drivers struggled for speed during the WTCR season opener at Zolder two weeks ago, with Hyundai Motorsport boss Andrea Adamo voicing criticism over the BoP and ECU weight exceptions.
Also announced today by the FIA touring car committee is that the compensation weight for the Renault Megané RS has been changed from +30kg to +20kg.
