Felice Jelmini to make TCR Europe debut at Monza
Felice Jelmini will make his TCR Europe debut at Monza after being named as one of the additional racers on the grid for the Italian round of the season.
Jelmini will compete for the same PMA Motorsport team running his programme in TCR Italy, where he sits fourth in the standings in his rookie season.
Although he lost potential wins at Mugello and Misano, Jelmini has a victory to his name at Imola and will now seek to impress on his international racing bow.
“I’m over the moon, because I have been a great fan of TCR from its very beginning and have followed all the races,” he said. “Stepping up to TCR Europe, even for a one-off appearance, is a great feeling. I’m especially happy to race in Monza, because it’s my home race, as I live nearby.
“It’s a kind of realisation for my maiden full season in TCR that is going well, with good results in TCR Italy. We are working well with PMA Motorsport, spending time to find the right set up for the Hyundai, and our commitment is actually paying back.”
