Robert Dahlgren: “We have just scratched the surface of the new Cupra”

Reigning champion Robert Dahlgren had a STCC TCR Scandinavia season opener weekend of ups and downs behind the wheel of his new Cupra León Competición.

The PWR Racing driver qualified seventh and second for the first two races and managed to win the second race as arch rival Tobias Brink was penalised for a jump start.

“We have just scratched the surface of what the new Cupra is capable of,” said Dahlgren.

“It is an incredible big task to head into such a strong championship as the STCC with a new car.”

Dahlgren is placed third overall in the championship on 45 points, seven points from leading driver Oliver Söderström.

“The team has worked so hard the last month to get to know, test and develop the new car as fast as possible,” said Dahlgren.

“To despite that claim a win in the season opener feels great, both for myself and for the team.”
