PWR Racing sideline Wallenberg to repair Åhlin-Kottulinsky’s Cupra
Peter “Poker” Wallenberg will not take part in the remaining two STCC TCR Scandinavia races at Gelleråsen Arena as the team is forced to take parts from his car to repair Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky’s.
Åhlin-Kottulinsky was involved in an incident in the first race that saw the rear suspension break on her brand new Cupra León Competición.
“There is certainly some tough action going on out there on track. I got a good start but we are unfortunately lacking race pace at this stage with the new car,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.
And due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the team is short on spare parts, issuing the following statement:
“Due to the COVID situation and shortage of spare parts we’ve taken the decision to repair Mikaela’s car with parts from Poker’s car. A sad thing to do, but we’ve all come to the conclusion together that it’s the best thing to do.”
