Hyundai Veloster TCR gets reduced power to 95%
The technical department of the WSC Group, the rights holder of TCR, has issued a new bulletin where the power has been reduced to 95% for the Hyundai Veloster TCR model.
The change came following the dominating results of the Hyundai cars during the recent TC America and IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge races.
The power has been reduced by 5%, from 100% to 95%, effective immediately.
The WSC Group stated the following:
“Following the results achieved by the Korean cars in the TCR class of TC America and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, their engine power level has been reduced from 100% to 95%.
In TC America, Copeland Motorsports’ Tyler Maxson has won all the five races held so far, while in the latest IMSA event at Sebring, the Hyundai cars have filled the top-five positions in Qualifying and the top-three in the race.”
