Igor Stefanovski makes Hyundai switch for full TCR Italy season

Igor Stefanovski has switched from Cupra to Hyundai and has confirmed a full TCR Italy championship season programme after taking part in selected races last year.

“The championship benefits from a very good media coverage and the budget is affordable. The races are tough but fair and there is a family feeling in the paddock,” said Stefanovski.

“I love Italy, and my family company imports Italian automotive products to Macedonia. We have decided to race here with the aim to promote both countries as safe places for tourism.”

The former FIA European hill climb champion is also aiming to take part in selected TCR Europe races.

“If everything goes as we hope, we are also aiming to make a few appearances in TCR Europe,” said Stefanovski.

The Macedonian driver took part in the TCR Italy races at Misano and Imola last year, claiming two podium finishes.
