Francesca Raffaele joins BF Motorsport for TCR Italy programme

17-year-old Italian racer Francesca Raffaele is going to race for BF Motorsport in the 2020 TCR Italy championship season.

“I wanted to take a step forward in my career and my goal is to get as far forward in the results as possible this year,” said Raffaele.

“My first goal is to reach the top ten and then a little further. A podium finish would not be bad.”

Raffaele, who made her racing debut last year in the Italian Clio Cup series, is going to drive an Audi RS 3 LMS for the team.

“The speed in the corners and the confidence-inspiring feeling are the things I like the most about the Audi. It felt really solid in the rear and I can accelerate early out of the corners,” said Raffaele.

BF Motorsport ran two cars in TCR Italy last year, with Jacopo Guidetti racing an Audi all season and Matteo Bergonzini racing a Cupra for the first five rounds.

The 2020 TCR Italy season is scheduled to start on July 19th at Mugello.
