Dominik and Marcel Fugel confirmed for 2020 TCR Germany season

Brothers Dominik and Marcel Fugel will be on the grid for the 2020 TCR Germany championship season.

“We are really motivated for the coming season,” said Dominik Fugel, who finished fourth overall last year with one win.

Fugel Sport will field four Honda Civic Type-R FK8 TCRs for the Fugel brothers and the Halder siblings Mike and Michelle under the Team Honda Sachsen and Team Halder constellation.

“We bought another Honda for my brother Marcel which was used by Pyro Motorsport last year and driven by Bradley Burns,” said Dominik Fugel.

Marcel Fugel drove an older Honda Civic Type-R FK2 TCR in selected races last year and will for this season drive all races.

“We have tested a bit to keep us ‘in the game’. It was definitely nice to be back in the car after such a long dry spell,” said Dominik Fugel.

“Of course we also train from time to time in the simulator, but for me personally that cannot be compared to ‘real’ driving.”

The 2020 TCR Germany season is set to start on August 2nd at the Lausitzring.
