October date set for Spa round

Spa’s date on the 2020 TCR Europe calendar has now been revealed after organisers of the Spa 24 Hours confirmed an October date for the Ardennes classic.

TCR Europe was scheduled to be a support act for the event in July before the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic left event organisers SRO with no option but to postpone the blue riband event on the World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup calendar.

The 24 Hours will now run from 22-25 October, giving the event an autumn date for the first time in it’s history, with TCR Europe retaining its place on the support package.

It means Spa now takes the fourth round on the provisional calendar that was released by the series last week, although dates for races at Paul Ricard and Jarama have still to be confirmed.

11/13 September – Zolder
25/27 September – Monza
09/11 October – Barcelona
22/24 October – Spa-Francorchamps
TBC – Paul Ricard (or other)
TBC – Jarama
