DTM monitoring Italian coronavirus outbreak ahead of Monza test

ITR, the promoters of DTM, are monitoring the situation of the recent coronavirus outbreak in Italy ahead of the official pre-season test at Monza in March.

A statement supplied to TouringCarTimes from ITR read:

“We are aware of the coronavirus outbreak in northern Italy. We are paying particular attention to its potential impact on the proposed pre-season test at Monza on March 16-18, and are working with the relevant authorities to monitor the situation closely.”

“The well-being of all DTM personnel and all of ITR’s partners is naturally our highest priority, and we will provide updates on the situation as soon as we know more.”

The test is is scheduled for March 16-18th ahead of the first-ever DTM race at the legendary Monza circuit in Italy on June 26-28.
