BJR unveil livery for Jack Smith’s rookie season

Former Super2 racer Jack Smith will make his full-time Supercars debut this year with the backing of SCT Logistics, backing up the support he’s received in wildcard starts.

Moving up from the development series to the main game in 2020, Smith will pilot the #4 Holden Commodore, prepared by Brad Jones Racing who have expanded to four cars for the season after Smith’s family purchased a Racing Entitlement Contract.

Smith will be engineered by Paul Forgie, the former crew chief of two-time champion Marcos Ambrose, hoping to find success in his rookie season.

“I’m really pumped about the season ahead,” Smith said.

“The car looks great and I think we’ve got a good look going into the new year.

“I’m really looking forward to getting more consistent and improving my racing career.

“I’ve been with BJR since 2017 and I love being here.

“Having Paul as my engineer is great; he has so much experience and has helped me a lot.

“I can’t wait to get out there and start the season.”

Smith’s season will begin at next weekend’s Adelaide 500, testing today at Winton and undertaking final preparations in the official test day at The Bend Motorsport Park.
