Cupra extend STCC deal with PWR Racing until 2022

Cupra and SEAT Sweden have extended their deal with PWR Racing to race in the STCC TCR Scandinavia championship until 2022.

“We at SEAT and Cupra are very happy to continue our journey together with PWR Racing,” said Per Brinkenberg, brand manager at Cupra and SEAT Sweden.

“Our programme that started in 2016 has strongly contributed to the strong development that we have seen for SEAT and Cupra in Sweden. We have increased our volume with more than 100% over this period.”

The team has ordered the new Cupra Leon Competición TCR for the coming STCC season, the model replacing the Cupra TCR.

PWR Racing has claimed two STCC drivers’ titles with Robert Dahlgren and one team title since the start of their cooperation with Cupra and SEAT.

The team is yet to confirm plans regarding a potential continuation of their World Touring Car Cup programme for the 2020 season.
