Goodyear named new WTCR tyre supplier
Goodyear will become the official tyre supplier to the World Touring Car Cup from next year as part of a new deal that will cover the next three seasons.
The manufacturer will supply the latest version of its Eagle F1 SuperSport race tyres from the season opener in Morocco in April as Goodyear takes over from Yokohama, which has held the role of official tyre supplier for the first two seasons of WTCR and was also supplier to the World Touring Car Championship before that.

The new deal runs to the end of the 2022 season.
“Following the FIA World Motor Sport Council vote we welcome Goodyear to the WTCR family,” François Ribeiro, Head of Eurosport Events, the WTCR promoter, said. “At the same time, we thank Yokohama for its unwavering support of WTCR – and the FIA World Touring Car Championship before that – and the expertise and professionalism it brought to the series over the last 14 years. We wish the company and staff well for their next challenge.
