Nicolai Sylvest confirmed as team-mate to Jan Magnussen at LM Racing

Nicolai Sylvest has been confirmed as team-mate to Jan Magnussen at LM Racing for the inaugural TCR Denmark championship season next year.

“I am really looking forward to an exciting season with LM Racing,” said Sylvest to boxengasse.dk.

“It is a strong team that has done well previously in the Danish Thundersport Championship. And with an experienced team-mate in the form of Jan Magnussen, there are no doubt high expectations.”

The 22-year-old won the 2012 Formula Ford Denmark series and raced for MRS GT-Racing in the 2019 ADAC GT Masters to finish 14th overall win one win.

“We are glad to have landed a deal with Nicolai Sylvest who is just the right driver for our new and big TCR programme,” said team manager Lars Morgensen.

“Jan is bringing a lot of experience from the previous front-wheel driven DTC cars, while Nicolai has spent the last years getting a lot of experience on tracks abroad, as well as selected Danish races.”

The team is planning to perform a first test with the two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR race cars early next year.
