Citroën announce Super TC 2000 exit
Citroën will end its Super TC 2000 programme at the end of the current season, stating “new global guidelines” as the reason.
“The Citroën brand has got good strategies for 2020 globally and we will of course accompany these guidelines,” said Gabriel Cordo Miranda, manager of Peugeot, Citroën and DS Argentina.
The French manufacturer has taken part in the Argentinian series for the past three seasons with the FDC team, headed by Javier Ciabattari and Alberto “Cachi” Scarazzini.
“We have nothing but gratitude to the FDC team for their deliveries, professionalism and commitment,” said Miranda.
Citroën has since 2017 claimed six victories, three in 2017, three in 2018 and so far none this year.
The best placed Citroën driver is Facundo Chapur, currently placed tenth overall with two race weekends remaining of the 2019 season.
