Entry list confirmed for Fuji Dream Race

A field of 22 cars has been confirmed for the Dream Race event at Fuji Speedway next weekend, with 15 cars from SUPER GT set to do battle against the seven DTM machines that have made the trip to Asia.

Lexus, the marque that secured the 2019 SUPER GT title, will be represented by six cars, with five Hondas and four Nissans going up against the four Audis and three BMWs that were previously announced.

A number of drivers with F1 experience will swell the grid, with Heikki Kovalainen, Narain Karthikeyan and Kazuki Nakajima added to a line-up that already included Kamui Kobayashi and Alessandro Zanardi.

Several of the SUPER GT cars will run with two drivers, with one driver competing in the opening race on Saturday and the other running in the Sunday race.

The schedule will see a morning qualifying session followed by a 55-minute-plus-one-lap race on both Saturday and Sunday, with each race featuring a mandatory pit stop for a change of tyres.

Both races will get underway with a rolling start, with the DTM cars unable to use either DRS or Push-to-Pass.
