Kelly Racing tease 2020 Ford Mustang
Kelly Racing has released a first rendering of their Castrol-sponsored Ford Mustang ahead of the 2020 Supercars Championship season.
The team makes the switch from Nissan to Ford next year, backing down from four to two cars, with Rick Kelly as the so far only confirmed driver.
The team has begun in-house engine development while the new cars are not expected to hit the track until early next year.
“There’s not a lot of point to rush the engine and get a car complete if it [the aero] is going to change,” said team co-owner Todd Kelly to supercars.com.
“We need to understand when the aero test is and what components might be changed and then work from there to try and get a car on track.”
