Engine change for Tiago Monteiro ahead of Suzuka

KCMG has been forced to change engine in Tiago Monteiro’s Honda Civic Type-R FK8 TCR ahead of the World Touring Car Cup races at Suzuka, following his heavy crash at Ningbo.

The Portuguese driver was tapped into the wall in the second race in China by Mehdi Bennani, an incident the Volkswagen driver was penalised for.

The team has been granted force majeure, meaning the Portuguese driver escapes a grid penalty for the first race at Suzuka.
