DTM confirm Russian circuit Igora Drive for third round of 2020
The DTM organisation has confirmed the Russian circuit Igora Drive for the third round of the 2020 season on May 30-31st, as the start of a five-year deal.
“We are really happy to be back in Russia. We are also proud to be the first race series to race at Igora Drive, it is an amazing race track,” said Achim Kostron, managing director of series promoter ITR.
The Igora Drive circuit is designed by renowned architect Hermann Tilke and opened last month, with the final FIA homologation currently ongoing.
The last time the DTM raced in Russia was in 2017 at the Moscow Raceway.
The 2020 DTM calendar feature ten races, starting at Zolder in April and ending at Hockenheim in October.
