Peugeot confirm entry for TCR Australia series finale
Peugeot Sport will enter the TCR Australia series season finale at The Bend with one Peugeot 308TCR for Aurélien Comte.
“We are looking forward to our participation with Peugeot Sport for the Tailem Bend round,” said Mayeul Tyl, director of Peugeot Citroën Racing Shop.
“We have watched the Australian TCR series with a lot of interest. The Australian series generates a lot of attention in Europe, it is really great to see lots of different car brands and is a very professional series. We are very excited to bring our Peugeot 308 TCR to Australia.”
Comte is racing a Peugeot for DG Sport Compétition in the 2019 TCR Europe series, currently placed eleventh overall with one race left of the season.
“Aurelien is driving the latest model 308TCR in TCR Europe this year. Last year he drove a 308TCR in WTCR and was our development driver for the 308TCR. He is a very accomplished driver with lots of experience,” said Tyl.
The French manufacturer has confirmed that the 308TCR raced by Comte will remain in Australia for the 2020 season, but with no further details available.
The 2019 season finale will be held at The Bend on November 15-17th.
