Team Hyundai Denmark will debut with rally driver at Jyllandsringen

Team Hyundai Denmark in cooperation with GM Motorsport will make their TCR Scandinavia championship debut in the races at Jyllandsringen this weekend with rally driver Marco Gersager.

Gersager, currently competing in the Danish rally championship, will make his racing debut in the Danish races, driving a Hyundai i30 N TCR for the team.

“I had the opportunity to test the car for the team at Sturup Raceway and Padborg Park earlier this year and that created the base for the team to take part in the first Danish race for TCR Scandinavia,” said Gersager.

“The Hyundai is a real race car, it handles really well and has a lot of power.”

The team has raced the Hyundai in selected endurance races and when asked by TouringCarTimes whether they considered a full-season entry next year, a team spokesperson said: “We will see what it can bring.”

The Team Hyundai Denmark entry marks the sixth additional Danish entry for Jyllandsringen alongside Casper Elgaard, Martin Jensen, Kristian Sætheren, Jonas Lynge and Kim Lund.
